FAQ

What do you do?

Omnient Labs performs multiple services.  We can develop methods. We can transfer methods, or validate methods.  We can audit your quality system or perform risk analyses.  We can help you build compliant raw material, in process, and finished good specifications.  Of course, we can perform routine Quality Control testing to support your business.  With Omnient Labs, you can be sure that the data and results you receive are accurate, precise, transparent, and timely.

How do I become a customer?

Simply contact us to set up an account.  We typically prefer to have an initial meeting (virtual or in person) to discuss the Quality Agreement, which covers the prices, turnaround times, project specification, documentation requirements, and all other customer needs prior to submitting samples.

What samples can be tested?

Omnient Labs can perform feasibility studies for you.  If you aren’t sure as to whether our tests can be applied to your products, contact us for a consultation to discuss the best path to move forward and obtain the data and results you’ve always wanted, but weren’t sure how to get.

How do I know what tests to request?

What tests need to be performed depends on a variety of factors, such as material type (e.g. botanical, synthetic, extract), material use (e.g. ingredient or excipient), material status (e.g. raw material, in process material, finished good), desired purpose of the results (e.g. for compliance, label claims, or R&D work), and required or desired level of accuracy and precision.  As you can see, it’s not a simple decision.  By contacting us, we can help guide you through the decision tree to help you decide what tests are necessary, and which are not, saving time, money, while remaining compliant!

What consulting services do I need?

Do you already have a complete, robust quality system?  Did you pass your last internal and external audit?  Are your corrective actions complete and truly address the root cause?  Was the root cause even determined at all?  If you struggle to know the answers to these questions, Omnient Labs can help.  We can act as an objective third party to evaluate your quality and laboratory systems, thereby saving you money and time in the long run.  In the short run, we can identify key processes that need immediate rectification, either for compliance, scientific validity, or data integrity purposes.

I got some results from your lab, but my customer is questioning the results. Help!

Not to worry.  Omnient Labs is ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified, the highest laboratory certification available.  Our scoped methods have been fully validated and reviewed by our accreditation body, Perry Johnson Laboratories.  For measurements made using non-ISO scoped methods, the same level of analytical rigor is applied, following the intensive AOAC method validation guidelines.  Omnient Labs will also spend time explaining the data and results to you (should you desire) in non-complicated, simple to understand language that you can then convey to your customer.  We are more than a “sample in -> data out” laboratory, we want our customers to understand what we do, how we do it, and why we do it the way that we do, so that they are better equipped to deal with their customers, should the need arise.
